The Search For Gold

I once had a desire and that was to find the gold. I've been looking for it everywhere, in every book, every seminar and every place. After few years of searching, I stumbled across a wise man who told me that the gold I'm seeking is a reflection of what's already inside of me. This really puzzled me. It confused the heck out of me but for some reason the seemingly nonsensical statement also sounded true to me. Although it appeared that I was close enough to find that gold in the direction I was heading toward, something deep inside of me whispered 'what if it's already inside of me as the wise man said?'. I didn't know what to do at first but the more I considered and listened to that whisper, I started feeling relaxed, joyful, and an unusual sense of peace.

The search somehow stopped as if I found what I've been looking for. As I pondered more and more on what the wise man had told me, I realised that the gold I was imagining out there is and has been with me all along. I burst out laughing at myself and my foolishness yet saw the innocence and humanness of it all. After this experience two things became obvious to me. The first thing was that the search is over once and for all leaving space for the gold inside of me to shine through. The second thing was that people should know about this.

I'm not the exception to the rule, I am the rule in action. You are not the exception to the rule, you are the rule in action.
